As part of a dog patrol tasked with clearing out stray dogs before the 2008 Olympics, he is joined by a black stray dog.
Eddie Peng [the protagonist] formed such a strong bond with Xin, the dog featured in the film, that he adopted him after filming wrapped.
Filmmaker Guan Hu manages to explore the relationship between man and dog from a Chinese perspective and, packed with gorgeous camera work, sound designs and interesting narrative choices, brings out the realism, engagement and analysis of the characters in a natural way.
The performances by Eddie Peng and the rest of the cast are great and many of the characters, although some characters could have been explored a little better, I appreciate the film for exploring dogs, humanism and society without a biased approach and for creating something unique .

A detective and a nun investigate a series of heinous crimes that seem personal, while grappling with personal issues and uncovering a sinister web that raises more questions than answers.. Ed Laclan's mustang is the same color and has the same license plate number as the car in The Italian Job 2WQI332.
It gives Se7en and early American Horror Story vibes.Eerie, grotesque beginning, great acting and good character development so far. There are some nauseating and uncomfortable scenes, but nothing we haven't seen before in horror television.
The lead detective's back story is relatable and interesting. The nun is very interesting and entertaining and the hospital nurse is disturbing but entertaining.
I may save up episodes for binge watching, like the show a lot so far.

An anthology series about high-profile crimes or killers that captured the public’s attention and notoriety. Evan Peters [Jeffrey Dahmer] says they had a rule, from Ryan Murphy [creator] for the series: that it would never be told from Dahmer’s point of view. “As an audience, you don’t really sympathize with him. You kind of, you know, look at him from the outside.” In many episodes, a 3M Command(TM) comic book is shown in the kitchen of Jeffery Dahmer’s apartment, this is set in 1991 at the latest.
3M released its first wave of Command(TM) products in 1996. Featured in Jeremy Vine: Episode #5.195 (2022). When I clicked to watch the release of “Dahmer” on Netflix, I thought it would be yet another documentary about him. But what a surprise to see that it is actually a mini-series about the crimes committed by Dahmer.
The script is top-notch! The cinematography is some of the best I have seen in a serial killer crime series! I am a huge fan of Mindhunter, the series about the origins of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit. And I have to admit that Dahmer fits perfectly into this type of series!
The series captivated me from the first episode and I binge-watched it from then on. I know there are many other films, like “People’s Magazine”, that depict the crimes committed by notorious killers. But what Netflix has shown with Dahmer is a whole new level of directing! People magazine movies are just amateur movies compared to the Dahmer series.
And I don’t give 9 stars easily!

Follows Morgan, a single mom of three kids and how thanks to her exceptional mind, she is able to help solve a crime as she rearranges evidence during her shift as a cleaner for the police department.. Despite her very high IQ, excellent memory, and extensive knowledge of the arcane, Morgan makes a series of basic mistakes of law that anyone who has ever watched a TV law show would know not to make. In Episode one, for instance, she obtains a document from a locked safe in a law office of the suspect-victim that would never be admissible in court–illegally obtained evidence.
It also could not be used to obtain other evidence–violation of the legal doctrine of "fruit of the poisonous tree." In Episode 2, she has to be reminded to wear gloves before handling evidence at a crime scene, and in #3, she removes all the documented evidence from the police station, totally breaking the chain of custody and making everything she removed also no longer admissible in a court of law.. This series revolves around Morgan (Kaitlin Olson), a woman who is the night janitor at the LAPD. When she happens to look at a case file, it intrigues her, and she makes some corrections on a murder board.
This leads to the realization by the department that she has a talent for perceiving, assimilating and organizing facts, aka evidence. They hire her as a consultant.Consider her Will Hunting meets Adrian Monk. Like Monk, she is bothered by OCD, though not as neurotically as Monk.
But she feels that she must reconcile any data that is contradictory (like an itch that needs scratching). And though Morgan sometimes feels on the outside of society, she is very empathetic.I really enjoy this series, though there have been plenty of other police procedurals that have a civilian with unusual talents working with cops. The character of Morgan is fun to watch.
And the cases feature interesting solutions.She also has three children, so she must always balance her work and home lives. In the first episode, her young son actually helps with her case, behind the scenes.
